Manchester City boss the Catalan coach, previously worked with legends such as the Argentine maestro, Andrés Iniesta, and Xavi Hernández, has declared that Cherki is one of the most gifted individuals he has ever witnessed and believes the forward will buy into the collective mentality at the Manchester outfit.

Return from Injury

The Frenchman, who signed for Manchester City from the French club in a £30.5m deal in time for the FIFA Club World Cup in June, has made just seven outings up to now. When asked whether the Frenchman can integrate into the team ethos, the manager answered: “Absolutely. Such individuals are so instinctive, very smart. They notice all.”

Praise for Nico

The coach also praised the midfielder, who is expected to feature in the engine room. The team’s usual starter is present to Villarreal, and should be to be honoured ahead of the game at the Estadio de la Cerámica, though he misses out due to a muscle injury.
